Sable Chemicals Industries Ltd, a chemical-producing company based in Zimbabwe, through its unit, Tatanga Energy Pvt Ltd, has applied for a development license for the construction of a 50 MW solar photovoltaic plant with plans for expansion to more than 150 MW.
The project will be built outside the company's site in Kwekwe. It is set to supply power for the company’s ammonium nitrate manufacturing facility.
Around 10 MW of the energy production from the pant will be feed to the national grid.
