X-Elio, a Spanish solar energy developer, has started the construction of its 50 MW CSF Tabernas solar photovoltaic (PV) project located in the province of Almeria in Andalusia, Spain.
For the development and construction of this plant, a financing agreement has been signed with Banco Sabadell for an amount of EUR27 million (US$29.01 million), which represents around 70% of the plant’s total investment. The total investment for the CSF Tabernas solar PV plant will be EUR38 million (US$40.83 million).
Once commissioned, the project can generate up to 104 GWh of energy per year and can meet the demand of up to 10,000 local homes.
