Albany County Commissioners have been looking over an application to build another wind project, and they deemed the proposed 37,000-acre Rock Creek project application complete, and it’s now open for public comment.
Invenergy, the Chicago-based company that submitted the application, wants to build 106 wind turbines mostly in northern Albany County, although a smaller portion is in Carbon County.
Construction of the project could begin as early as 2023 and be completed by end-2024.
