Vestas completes first turbine for 101 MW wind park in Serra do Mel

Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems has started the construction of the 101 MW wind project in Serra do Mel in Brazil with the first turbine installed. 

The wind project, developed by Echoenergia, features V150-4.2 MW turbines to be built in the State of Rio Grande do Norte. It will have a total of 24 wind turbines. 

Once operational, the wind farm will generate up to 520 GWh of clean energy annually that is enough to supply the annual consumption of up to 900,000 people.
