The UK government has granted development consent to Ørsted for its 2.4 gigawatts (GW) Hornsea 3 project.
The wind farm will be built approximately 120 kilometers off the North Norfolk coast - within the previous Hornsea zone boundary. The project will be comprised of up to 231 turbines that will generate about 2,400 MW of electricity, enough to meet the average daily needs of over 2 million homes.
