The UK government has moved the deadline for the ruling on the Vattenfall's 1.8 GW Norfolk Vanguard offshore wind farm to June 1, 2020.
Vattenfall AB had provided the Secretary of State with new environmental information regarding the project. As a result, a new deadline has been set for interested parties to comment on the representations will be on April 27, 2020.
Norfolk Vanguard Ltd has proposed a reduction of the total number of turbines for the project from 180 to 158. This will be accomplished by increasing the minimum turbine size from 10 MW to 11.55 MW.
The Secretary of State was initially supposed to rule on the matter by December 10, 2019, but requested the additional information from Vattenfall, Natural England, the Marine Management Organisation and a number of county and district councils.
