The Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy (MIREME) of Mozambique has revealed that two bidders are left for the final phase of the government tender for the development and construction of the 40 MW Dondo solar photovoltaic project in Sofala province.
Twelve companies have initially competed in the first phase of the tender that was later on reduced to half after six were disqualified to compete. MIREME is set to release the result of the final phase by January 2022.
The project is being developed within the scope of the Renewable Energy Auction Program (PROLER), a program initiated by MIREME, through Mozambique Electricity (EDM).
