The state-owned power utility of Mozambique, Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM), has launched a request for expression of interest (RFEOI) for interested consultants to conduct a feasibility study for the planned utility-scale floating solar photovoltaic project at the 44 MW Chicamba Hydroelectric Power Station.
The floating solar farm will be built in the Chicamba hydropower plant that spans the Ruvue River, in Manica province, near the international border between Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
