Trina Solar starts commercial operation of the 27.23 MW solar project in Puerto Gaitán

Trina Solar Ltd has started the commercial operation of the 27.23 MWp Bosques de los Llanos 1 solar photovoltaic project located in Puerto Gaitan, in the department of Meta, Colombia.

The project features 67,420 modules of between 395 and 405 W monocrystalline and installation of unidirectional trackers from NClave, It is expected to generate 51 GWh of electricity per year and offset about 19,450 tons of carbon dioxide CO2 annually.

The project has secured a power purchase agreement with VATIA.
