Trina Solar concludes financing for 19.9 MW Bosques de los Llanos 1 solar project in Puerto Gaitán

Trina Solar Energy has finalized the project financing of Bosques de los Llanos 1 Solar Park in Colombia. The financial closure for US$12 million was provided by Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional, and Banco Davivienda.

The solar project is to be located in the municipality of Puerto Gaitán, Meta, one of the areas with the highest solar radiation in Colombia.

Bosques de los Llanos 1 is expected to start operations in May 2020.

In the transaction, E.Y. Law acted as the legal advisor of the project owner while Holland & Knight represented the lenders.
