TransAlta Corporation has entered into two long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for the offtake of 100% of the generated electricity from its 300 MW White Rock East and White Rock West onshore wind projects located in Caddo County, Oklahoma.
Contracting the electricity attributes to a disclosed new customer and allows TransAlta to move into the construction phase, which will begin in late 2022. With estimated total construction costs of US$470 million, the White Rock project will consist of 51 Vestas turbines.
