Japanese utility Tohoku Electric Power has completed the acquisition of a 45% stake in the 51.6 MW Miyagi Osato Solar Park operated by Miyagi Osato Solar Park GK.
The facility is located in the Osato town of Japan. It consists of 116,000 SunPower PV panels that can generate up to 56.4 million kWh per year.
With the closing of the deal, Tohoku and Total Solar International will each own a 45% piece in the project while SB Energy Corp owns a 10% share. The solar plant is expected to be operational by 2021.
