The Emirates Water and Electricity Company (EWEC) has issued an express interest (EOI) for the development of the 1500 MW Al Khazna photovoltaic solar power station in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The project includes the development, financing, construction, operation, maintenance and ownership of a new solar photovoltaic energy station, with a generating capacity of 1,500 MW (AC) in addition to related infrastructure works. The developer will be awarded a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA), without providing further technical or financial details.
