TC Energy to build 81 MW solar PV project in Alberta

TC Energy Corporation has secured the necessary regulatory authorizations and permits and will initiate pre-construction preparations for the 81 MW Saddlebrook Solar Project located in Alberta, Canada.

The company is investing CAD146 million (US$106.9 million) in the construction of the solar photovoltaic farm which will generate enough power for about 20,000 houses per year. 

Emissions Reduction Alberta has contributed CAD10 million (US$7.3 million) to the project. Commercial operation is anticipated in 2023.
