Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, has announced it will construct a 100 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project for Viraj Profile in Maharashtra, India.
The facility is expected to generate around 200 MUs of energy and offset roughly 170.43 million kg of CO2 annually. It is anticipated to be operational by July 2023.
TP Nanded Limited, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) established by TPREL, will be responsible for the building, operation, and maintenance of the captive solar power facility. Tata Power will own 74% of the generation, while Viraj Profile would own the remaining 26%, in accordance with captive generation regulations.
