Tata Power has commissioned its 110 MW solar power project in Bikaner district, Rajasthan, India. The facility, which features 259,272 bifacial mono PERC half-cell modules, is anticipated to generate 211 million units of electricity and reduce carbon emissions by 258,257 metric tonnes annually. It will supply 110 MW of green power to the Kerala State Electricity Board.
The plant was completed in just seven months despite harsh weather conditions, including temperatures reaching 50+ degrees Celsius, frigid winters, sandstorms, and precarious geopolitics.
Tata Power aims to increase its capacity to 15,000 MW by 2025 and reduce its carbon footprint. The newly commissioned project will further strengthen India's renewable energy sector and enable the country to meet its goals of decarbonization.
