Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power has commissioned two solar photovoltaic projects of 50 MW each at Prayagraj and Banda in Uttar Pradesh in India.
The project in Prayagraj consists of around 159,600 modules and the installation is expected to reduce 91,137 tons of carbon emission annually. It also consists of 16 Inverters and 103.25 km of DC cable. The project in Banda uses 167,440 modules spread over 236 acres of land with 16 invertors. The plants at Prayagraj and Banda are expected to reduce 177,037 tons of carbon emission annually.
Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) has already been signed between TPREL and Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited, (UPPCL) for both projects.
