Taiyo Power & Storage, Kajima Partnership’s joint venture with Low Carbon Alliance, has sold a ready-to-build 42MW greenfield solar project in Swansea to Infinis Solar Developments.
Parc Solar Caenewydd is expected to produce 43.8 GWh of renewable energy annually and will be co-located with a 46 MW battery energy storage system (BESS). Planning permission was granted in Q4 of 2024, with energy generation anticipated to begin by Q4 2026. The project design also accommodates ongoing agricultural use, enabling sheep to graze among the solar panels. Taiyo is a joint venture formed by Kajima Partnerships and Low Carbon Alliance.
