Swire Blue Ocean AS has secured a contract with MHI Vestas Offshore Wind A/S, to transport and install the turbines for 1,075 MW Seagreen 1 offshore wind project located in the Firth of Forth, in the United Kingdom.
In June of 2020, MHI Vestas Offshore Wind A/S has received an order for 114 units of its V164-10 MW turbines for the project. Swire Blue Ocean is expected to the installation of the turbines in the second half of 2021.
SSE Renewables recently announced the final investment decision (FID) for Seagreen 1 offshore wind development, alongside an agreement to sell a 51% stake in Seagreen 1 to Total SA.
The project is expected to be complete in 2022 or 2023.
