Lightsource BP has secured planning and development approval for the construction of the 50 MW solar project near Castle Eden in Durham, UK.
The Hulam solar photovoltaic plant will use bifacial panels covering about 180 acres of land. It will be connected to a 66-kV network of Northern Powergrid.
BP Plc supports the project through a corporate off-take deal under power purchase agreements (PPAs).
