Suzano SA, a Brazilian pulp and paper producer, has signed a 50 MW power purchase deal through a Contract for the Sale of Energy in the Regulated Environment with distribution concessionaires Cemig, Light SA, and Neoenergia´s Coelba.
The purchase deal will be sourced from a portion of the estimated surplus power generation of the 180 MW Cerrado solar photovoltaic project located in Ribas do Rio Pardo in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil.
The deal was closed at a tariff of BRL315 (US$66.26) per MWh for the period of January 2026 to December 2045.
