SSE, Marubeni, CIP to join forces for 10GW ScotWind offshore wind lease of Crown Estate Scotland

SSE Renewables is partnering with Japanese company Marubeni Corporation and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) to jointly bid for the wind lease of up to 10 GW ScotWind offshore wind project managed by the Crown Estate Scotland. 

The application for the tender round, which was launched in June, is set to close on March 31, 2021. 

The three companies have an extensive background in offshore wind project developments and management.
