Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Spirit AeroSystems Holdings, Inc., has signed a power purchase agreement with the American Electric Power Company Inc’s 128 MW Flat Ridge 3 wind farm project located in Kingman County in Kansas, USA.
The Spirit Wichita complex will source its clean energy from Evergy Inc which has a long-term PPA with the wind farm. Spirit Wichita houses Spirit AeroSystems' head office and manufacturing facilities for fuselages and other components.
