Infrastructure and Energy Alternatives has been granted contracts for US$109 million to build two solar projects in Virginia. IEA Constructors, a wholly owned subsidiary of IEA, has been awarded the engineering, procurement, and construction contract by Engie North America.
Creek Solar, located on 495 acres in Halifax County, Virginia, is a 70 MWAC solar plant. On the other hand, Sunnybrook Solar, located in Scottsburg County, Virginia, is a 51 MWAC solar installation.
Construction of the projects began in January 2022 and is expected to be completed in December 2022.
