Clearway Energy Group has reached commercial operations on its 110 MW Black Rock wind farm located in Grant and Mineral counties, in West Virginia, USA. The project consists of 23 Siemens-Gamesa SG 5.0-145 turbines, which will generate enough electricity to power 55,000 homes annually.
Black Rock wind farm is contracted under long-term power purchase agreements with customers Toyota Motor North America (Toyota) and AEP Energy Partners, a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Electric Power.
The project was constructed by a joint venture (JV) of Reed & Reed and Bechtel Corporation.
