The Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition has granted an Environmental Impact Declaration to Solarcentury’s Talayuela solar farm in an important step towards the site’s development. The 300MWp solar farm in the region of Extremadura will be one of Europe’s largest to date.
The scheme will generate enough electricity to power 200,000 homes – enough to house more than 10 per cent of Extremadura’s total population.
Solarcentury looks forward to reaching ready to build status in the coming months and to the commercial operation of the plant early in 2020
