Sonnedix has signed a 12-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Spain's largest electric company Endesa. The green energy deal will be produced from the 77 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) portfolio that Sonnedix acquire in July 2021.
The solar portfolio consists of five solar plants located in Valladolid, Castilla y León province of Spain. The projects are currently under construction and are expected to start operations within the first quarter of 2023. It is estimated that the portfolio will produce a total volume of 156 GWh of renewable energy per year, equivalent to powering over 50,000 homes, and capable of avoiding more than 30,000 tons of CO2.
On this transaction, Sonnedix was advised by Watson Farley & Williams (legal) and Our New Energy (PPA).
