Sonnedix completes acquisition of Spanish solar farm from Impax Asset Management

Sonnedix has completed the acquisition of a recently commissioned 36 MWp solar photovoltaic project located in Herencia, Ciudad Real, Spain from Impax Asset Management. 

Named the 'Fraile solar plant', the project is expected to generate about 78 GWh of clean energy during the first year of operation which is equivalent to the energy requirements of up to 23,000 households. The project is powered by Canadian Solar modules, PV Hardware trackers, and JEMA inverters. ELMYA was the designated engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor and will also serve as the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) provider for the first two years of the operation.

The sales process was managed by PWC. Impax was counseled by Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, and Sonnedix was counseled by Ashurst.
