Emerge Limited, a joint venture between Masdar and the EDF Group breaks ground on Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) 60 MWp solar PV plant in Sharjah, UAE.

The 60 MWp ground-mounted solar PV plant at SNOC's Sajaa Gas Complex will produce enough clean energy to offset 66,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually, equivalent to taking over 14,600 cars off the road each year. Emerge will oversee the entire project lifecycle under a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) agreement, which includes financing, design, procurement, construction, operation, and maintenance of the solar modules for 25 years.
