SIMEC has announced that it has formally applied to build a 168 MW wind farm in the Highlands region of Scotland. The GBP158 million (US$181.9 million) project is proposed to comprise 39 turbines located around eight kilometres north west of Laggan.
The company has submitted an application to the Scottish Government’s Energy Consents Unit, following a year of environmental and technical studies and extensive public consultation.
