Drax Group has disclosed that it is in talks with Iberdrola for the purchase of Scottish Power’s renewable energy assets in UK. The portfolio includes gas-fired power, hydropower and small-scale biomass projects.
The discussions are preliminary in nature and there can be no certainty of any agreement or the timing or terms of any such agreement. Any potential acquisition would be fully debt funded and subject to shareholder approval.
Scottish Power is a subsidiary of Iberdrola.
