Siemens to supply turbines for 36 MW Karkaros wind project in Desfina

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA has been contracted to supply turbines for the 36 MW Karkaros wind farm located in the municipality of Desfina in Greece. 

The wind farm, promoted by Intrakat Group, will have seven turbines of the SG 5.0-145 model that can generate enough power for the consumption of up to 30,000 homes per year. 

The project is expected to be operational by 2023.
