Sofrano, a unit of Greek construction group Ellaktor SA has received environmental approval for the construction of the 160 MW wind complex in Evia Island, Greece.
The 160 MW wind complex is made up of five wind power plants, three of them has an installed capacity of 15 MW each, while the two wind farm has installed capacities of 55 MW and 60 MW, respectively, in Styra, in Karystos municipality.
The complex will be equipped with a total of 32 units of SG145 turbines by Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.
The environmental permit was granted after Sofrano removed some turbines from its project's proposal.
