Samegawa Energy LLC, a joint venture (JV) between Sharp Energy Solutions Corporation (SESJ) and Fuyo General Lease Co Ltd, has started the commercial operation of the 40.8 MW DC solar photovoltaic project located in Fukushima prefecture, northern Japan.
Named 'Samegawa Aosono Solar Power Plant', the project is constructed in Samegawa village. The facility generates up to 44 kWh of energy per year and offsets an estimated 17,000 carbon emissions annually.
