Kao Corporation and Mizuho Leasing Co Ltd have signed a virtual power purchase agreement (PPA) for the output generated by a 15.6-MW solar power project in order to power its Sumida plant in Tokyo, Japan.
Mizuho Bank will take charge of the overall project coordination, and Mizuho Leasing will assume ownership and operation of the solar power plant, which is expected to produce approximately 16.2 million kWh of electricity annually.
