The City of Subotica in Serbia has granted development approval for the planned 599 MW Maestrale Ring Wind Farm project submitted by Fintel Energia Group SpA.
The project will be built on about 10,815 hectares of land near Čantavir, Višnjevac, Gabrić, Bikovo, Stari Žednik, and Novi Žednik, villages in Subotica territory. Under the approved detailed regulation plan, the turbines must be at least one kilometer from houses and land designated for construction in Čantavir, Novi Žednik, Bačko Dušanovo, and Višnjevac.
The project is originally designed to have a generating capacity of 572 MW. The wind farm needs a strategic environmental impact assessment that will be sponsored by Fintel Energija, the subsidiary of Fintel Energia Group.
