MK Fintel Wind, a joint venture of Italy’s Fintel Energia Spa and Serbia’s MK Group, has put into operation the 69 MW Košava 1 wind farm in Izbiste, municipality of Vršac, Vojvodina, Serbia.
The construction of the Košava 1 wind farm with 20 turbines delivered by Denmark-based Vestas, with a total investment of EUR118 million (US$129.59 million). The wind farm can generate enough electricity to power 45,000 households.
At the end of February 2018, MK-Fintel Wind announced that it had secured EUR81.5 million (US$89.51 million) in lending that was provided by a pool of banks including Erste Group, Austrian Development Bank (OoEb), UniCredit Serbia and AIK Banka.
