Sembcorp Industries has been awarded a 180MW onshore wind power project in India, in the 11th nationwide wind power auction organized by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
Its wholly-owned renewables subsidiary in India, Green Infra Wind Energy Limited, has received the letter of award to develop the onshore wind farm, to be located in the state of Karnataka in southwest India. Once the project is operational, the produced power will be sold to SECI under a 25-year long-term power purchase agreement (PPA).
