Reliance enters deal to acquire 40% stake in Sterling and Wilson

Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries Ltd, through Reliance New Energy Solar Ltd, has entered into a definitive deal to acquire a 40% stake in Sterling and Wilson Solar Ltd. 

Sterling and Wilson is a joint venture between Shapoorji Pallonji and Company Pvt Ltd (SPCPL) and the Khurshed Yazdi Daruvala family. It is focused on delivering engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and operations and maintenance (O&M) services to solar projects. 

The deal is pending regulatory approval.
