Scotland’s Dumfries and Galloway Council has awarded planning permission to Lorg wind project to be developed by E.on SE.
The project involves the development of a 32.4 MW wind farm located near the Southern Upland Way, east of Carsphairn. The 9-turbine facility will be installed in both Dumfries and Galloway and East Ayrshire Council areas.
The project was launched in 2012 but was delayed due to environmental concerns and objections related to its potential impact on the local area.
