Buchan Offshore Wind has submitted the Offshore Scoping Report for the 1 GW Buchan floating offshore wind farm to the Scottish Government’s Marine Directorate.
The Scoping Report marks the initial significant phase in the project's approval process, outlining project details and its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) approach. The project will be located 75 km northeast of Fraserburgh on the Aberdeenshire Coast. Stakeholders are invited to offer comments and engage in the scoping process. The project would make a meaningful contribution to meeting net zero targets and provide a significant boost to the Scottish offshore wind supply chain.
