SCE signs 195 MW PPA deal for battery storage projects in Santa Barbara

Southern California Edison has signed a Power Purchase Agreement deal for seven energy storage projects with a combined capacity of 195 MW located in Ventura, Santa Barbara, California, USA

The Projects involved are:

  • 14 MW energy storage project (Company: Swell)
  • 10 MW energy storage project (Company: E.on)
  • 100 MW energy storage project (Company: Strata)
  • 11 MW energy storage project (Company: Able Grid)
  • 10 MW energy storage project (Company: Ormat)
  • 40 MW energy storage project (Company: AltaGas)
  • 10 MW energy storage project (Company: Enel)

The Projects are expected to be operational between December 2020 and March 2021.
