The State Environmental Institute (IMA) of Santa Catarina of Brazil has approved the preliminary environment license to develop the 256.5 MW wind complex in the state planned by Eolicas de Calmon Ltda.
Named as Calmpn Wind Complex, the project will be built in the municipalities of Calmon, Cacador, Timbo Grande, and Porto Uniao. The wind complex represents about BRL1 billion (US$185.7 million) of investment and will consist of 95 wind turbines of 2.7 MW each generating capacities.
The installation works for 11 wind parks that form the complex will be completed in at least 34 months.
