RWE, a German utility company, and SolarDuck, a Dutch company that specializes in offshore photovoltaics (PV) farms, have announced their plan to build an offshore solar project together in the North Sea near Ostend, Belgium, in close proximity to an existing offshore wind farm.
The Merganser project will be capable of producing 500 kW of power. The solar PV scheme is scheduled to be operational in 2023.
