RWE plans 28.5 MW wind project in Rhineland-Palatinate

RWE AG, a German company, intends to develop a wind project with a capacity of 28.5 MW in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Expected to be operational by the end of the year 2026, RWE has already signed a contract with the municipalities of Schleid and Bickendorf, where the EUR30 million (US$30.7 million) wind farm is located.

Heilenbach will have a total of five turbines, each of which is anticipated to have the capacity to satisfy the annual electricity requirements of 22,000 individual households. RWE is planning to begin the mapping work as well as the approval process within the next few months.
