RP Global launches crowdfunding for 400 MW solar project in Murcia

Independent power producer (IPP) RP Global has launched a crowdfunding initiative to fund some of the cost of the development of the 400 MW Carril solar photovoltaic project located in the region of Murcia in Spain. 

The fundraising campaign aims to collect EUR450,000 (US$474,000). The project will be developed in the municipality of Puerto Lumbreras and will be connected to the grid via a transmission line that would cross into the municipality of Lorca. 

RP Global aims to commence the commercial operation of the plant by the first quarter of 2023.
