Romanian energy provider Restart Energy has signed a grid-connection contract for its 50 MW solar photovoltaic farm located in the northwestern locality of Sarmasag in Salaj county, Romania.
The project represents EUR40 million (US$45.24 million) in investment and can generate up to 55 million kWh of energy per year, enough for the consumption of about 30,000 homes.
Restart purchased the Sarmasag project at the “brownfield” stage in February 2021. The construction of the solar farm is expected to start by the second half of 2022.
