Romanian state-owned hydropower producer Hidroelectrica is planning to build a 45 MWp ground-mounted solar photovoltaic project in the town of Tudor Vladimirescu in Brăila county, Muntenia, southern Romania. Hidroelectrica is also planning to build 20 solar PV panels on the roofs of its hydropower plants.
The project requires an investment of about RON193 million (US$45.96 million). Once operational, the facility is expected to produce up to 56 GWh of energy per year.
Hidroelectrica is inviting companies to submit offers for feasibility studies for the two projects. The deadline for the responses is on October 11, 2021.
