RES Group has officially started the commercial operation of the 15.3 MWp Terres Neuves solar PV plant located in the municipalities of Saint-Étienne-sous-Bailleul and La-Chapelle-Longueville in the Eure Department, in Normandy region.

The ground-based power plant covers the 18 hectares of an industrial site owned by Centre national de prevention et de protection (CNPP). The plant features 127,800 photovoltaic panels with a total installed capacity of 15.3 MWp, equivalent to the annual electricity consumption (excluding heating) of nearly 6,800 households.

In May 2019, RES Group, developer of the project, sold it a joint venture of West Energies and the Bank of the Territories. Bank of the Territories is one of the five businesses of Caisse des Dépôts.

RES Group has already planned an extension of the photovoltaic park on 16 additional hectares, which can generate 13.5 MWp and scheduled to operational in the summer of 2020. West Energies and SIEGE 27 are positioning themselves for that this second park can also be carried by actors of the territory.
