France to construct 1 GW offshore wind project off the coast of Normandy

The French State plans to build a new 1 GW offshore wind farm off the coast of Normandy. The plan will be open for discussions in a public debate between November 15, 2019, and May 15, 2020.

The 1 GW fleet would consist of about 80 12 MW wind turbines, the most powerful wind turbines to date.
